Warning: Spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones season 7.
While season 6 of Game of Thrones all but confirmed that Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) was not just King in the North but also of House Targaryen, season 7 is finally giving audiences all the evidence they need that Jon's dragon blood runs deep.
And now Emilia Clarke (who plays the OG Targaryen, Daenerys [insert 900 other titles here]) is getting in on the fun, posting an Instagram that shows Harington's fiery bloodline has gone straight to his head. In the social media post from Thursday, Harington flaps his iconic cloak in the wind like a dragon, with the green pastures and blue skies of "Dragonstone" as a backdrop. (How quickly he's forgotten his Direwolf roots.) Clarke captioned the goofy video: "I mean, JEEEZE, one pet of a dragon and he thinks he's one of them. 🤦♀️ #youknownothingjonsnow
Clarke's caption references the big moment in episode 5 where Jon finally meets a dragon eye-to-eye. During the scene, Dracarys allows Jon to pet him instead of releasing his fiery vengeance upon an outside who won't bend the knee. Audiences went wild for the moment since it was the first indicator that yes, his dad was Daenerys's older brother, Rhaegar. (And with Gilly's surprise finding in Old Town that Jon's not even a bastard.)
Could this Instagram be further proof that Jon's set to mount a dragon this season? Or that Daenerys' nephew has a bigger claim to the Iron Throne than she does?
Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: No one has punnier hashtags than the Mother of Dragons.
